Alamance Appraisals is a North Carolina Real Estate Appraisal firm located in Alamance County, NC, specializing in appraising single family residential properties (new construction and existing homes) involving conventional loans in the Alamance County Market Area. Alamance Appraisals’ main focus is to provide our clients with quality appraisals, reliable customer service, and fast turn times.
 Robert A. Ward, Jr., President of Alamance Appraisals (known as Bert by friends), is an Alamance County native for over 35 years and a graduate of East Carolina University, who came to residential real estate appraisal by way of real estate sales. After receiving a real estate sales license in 1996, Bert began working as a sales agent for Coldwell Banker-Alamance Realty, in Burlington, NC, and later transferred to Mill Creek Golf Club, in Mebane, NC, to work in new construction as an on-site sales agent for Better Homes & Gardens-Howard Perry & Walston, representing nationally recognized builders C. Richard Dobson (now part of D.R. Horton-America’s Builder), and John Wieland Homes. Wanting a more diversified real estate background, Bert left Mill Creek to obtain a Real Estate Broker license & the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, and in 1998 he was employed by Dan Mohr Real Estate Schools, Inc., one of the oldest, largest and most successful private real estate schools in North Carolina. While employed there, Bert took the residential appraisal courses and in 2000 began appraising for LandAmerica OneStop (formerly Primis & Premier Appraisals), a leading title insurance company and real estate appraisal & property information service provider. In 2002 Bert obtained a North Carolina State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser license and founded Alamance Appraisals-Black Diamond, LLC. Four years later, Bert obtained the Residential Accredited Appraiser (RAA) designation through the National Association of Realtors and the Independent Fee Appraiser (IFA) designation throught the National Association of independent Fee Apprasiers.
